A 12-year old distance MBA program which later evolved to become an online MBA program has closed due to heightened competition in the field of online MBA education.
The Portland Business Journal reports that "in the face of increased competition from bigger name universities," the online MBA offered by Portland State University's School of Business Administration will cease to be offered. "Students in the online MBA program will be able to finish the coursework," the PBJ continues.
Portland State University (PSU) will continue to offer on-campus MBA programs, namely their full- and part-time offerings.
